Support MSU's Interfaith Challenge with a supply kit item donation

Individuals attending the MLK Jr. Unity Breakfast at Mississippi State University on Monday [Jan. 20] are encouraged to bring an emergency supply kit item to support the President's Interfaith & Community Service Campus Challenge, an initiative inviting institutions of higher education to commit to a year of interfaith and community service programming on campus and in the community.

As part of Mississippi State's interfaith service initiative, various campus and community groups are working together to improve the disaster preparedness of citizens of Oktibbeha County.

During the breakfast, a drop location for the emergency supply kit items will be set-up in Colvard Student Union on the second floor next to the information desk. Items that are currently being collected include anti-bacterial hand soap, thermometers, warm blankets, battery powered radios, bottled water, flashlights and mini-first aid kits.

For more information about the President's Interfaith & Community Service Campus Challenge, and for a full list of items being collected, please visit http://mvc.msstate.edu/interfaithchallenge or contact the Maroon Volunteer Center at volunteer@saffairs.msstate.edu.
