Defensive driving course cranks up this week

The Office of Regulatory Compliance and Safety at Mississippi State is offering the National Safety Council's defensive driving course at no charge to MSU employees, including student workers.

After participating in the one-day session delivered by MSU Safety Officer Alicia Musselwhite, attendees will receive a nationally recognized certification from the National Safety Council. The NSC's certifications are accepted in more states than any other driver improvement or driver education program for insurance discounts. The course offers practical strategies to reduce collision-related injuries, fatalities, and costs.

This session is limited to 15 participants and a minimum of seven attendees must be present to hold the class. Training sessions and locations are:

-- Tuesday, April 2 from 8 a.m. to noon in Room 119 at the Institute for Genomics, Biocomputing and Biotechnology.
