Lab safety workshop set for Sept. 26

The Office of Regulatory Compliance and Safety at Mississippi State is offering several sessions of Introduction to Laboratory Safety, an interactive, hands-on training course that covers the fundamentals of lab safety for all experience levels.

Participants will learn how to identify and control hazards in laboratory settings, as well as how to respond to laboratory accidents and emergencies.

All MSU employee's and students are welcome and encouraged to participate in the course. A certificate of attendance will be awarded after successful completion of the course. Space is limited in each session and a minimum of six attendees must be enrolled to hold the session.

Training sessions and locations for Fall 2012 are below. All sessions are from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

-- Wednesday, Sept. 26, Mitchell Memorial Library, IMC Presentation Room

-- Thursday, Oct. 25, Wise Center, CVM Presentation Room

-- Tuesday, Nov. 6, Harned Hall, 3rd Floor Conference Room

3. You will need to enter your NetID and password to access the "Enroll in a
Course" page.

4. Click the title for the date you wish to register, and then click "Yes" to enroll, or "No" to be returned to the enrollment page.
