PCSW now accepting Student Leadership Award submissions

The President's Commission on the Status of Women (PCSW) at Mississippi State University invites submissions for the Student Leadership Award, which recognizes and develops leadership skills for outstanding undergraduates. The deadline is February 28, 2018 by 5 p.m.

Eligible MSU undergraduate students who identify as women and/or female are invited to submit an essay (1,000-words maximum) describing campus involvement, field of study, community service and related work as it impacts and improves the lives of women. Include a resume of accomplishments, awards, honors, previous experience and career plans for future work and service.

Please submit the essay and resume in PDF format directly to Sarah Lee at sblee@cse.msstate.edu with "PCSW Student Leadership Award" in the subject line. Two award recipients will be selected.

Award recipients will receive a travel award (up to $1,000) paid to attend the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders at the University of Maryland, College Park on May 30-June 2, 2018 or a leadership conference of the awardee's choosing with approval from the PCSW committee; a cash award of $150; lunch with MSU President Mark E. Keenum; and recognition at the PCSW award ceremony on March 28, 2018.
