MSU Libraries exhibit highlights Black History Month

A new display is currently on exhibit in Mitchell Memorial Library highlighting new African-American library materials in honor of Black History Month at Mississippi State University.

Located on the second floor of the Library, outside of Reference, and on display for the duration of February, one case of the exhibit celebrates African-American women, and the other African-American literature. The materials on display were, until recently, housed in the closed Mary Holmes College campus in West Point.

MSU Libraries is proud to be able to offer an expanded African-American collection due to the generosity of Community Counseling Services, which now owns the Mary Holmes campus.

For more information on this display, please contact MSU Libraries' Coordinator of Collection Development Laurel Sammonds at (662) 325-0778.
