Fulbright France applications due Aug. 1

The International Institute at Mississippi State reminds faculty and staff that the 2017-2018 Core Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program is accepting applications from academics and professionals until Aug. 1. Specific efforts to promote the French regional awards encourage faculty and professionals to consider these particular awards:

Aquitaine Limousin Poitou-Charentes Regional Award: This research award is open to all levels of scholars except early career and the selected scholar will spend to nine months at a regional university or research center. Candidates from all fields are welcome, with a preference for STEM fields and economics/management.

Nord Pas de Calais Regional Council Award: This research award is open to academics of all career levels and the selected scholar will spend up to twelve months at a regional university or research center. Applications are accepted from all appropriate disciplines, with several priorities including STEM, ethics, and economic systems.

Alsace Champagne-Ardenne Lorraine Regional Award: The selected scholar will spend three to twelve months researching in their specialization at a regional university or research center. Medical imaging, physical and life sciences, chemistry, and renewable energy are among the preferred specializations.

Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Regional Award: This research award is open to all levels of scholars and the selected scholars will spend up to ten months at a participating regional university or research center. Robotics, reactor physics, materials science, optics and laser physics and networked systems are the preferred disciplines.
