Kohl to keynote Charles E. Lindley Lecture Series this month
The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Mississippi State will host Virginia Tech professor emeritus David Kohl for the Charles E. Lindley Lecture Series on April 22 at noon in Bost Extension Center. The series was established in 1989 as a memorial to the MSU alumnus who was longtime dean of the college.
Kohl's presentation -- Global Economics: Points to Ponder -- will focus on the major game changers in the agriculture landscape that can turn underwriting standards upside down. He will give a quick tour of global economic factors and how they are influencing commodity and oil prices.
There will also be a discussion about land values, oil prices, and the possible conditions that could correct land values. Learn more about what is going on with the U.S. economy, as well as the status of the lead and lag indicators that forecast the future.
The lecture and luncheon require registration. Please register at www.cals.msstate.edu/workshops/lindleylecture.
