Research Security session tackles 'Insider Threat: The Danger from Within'

An insider threat to a company or other organization is when a current or former employee, contractor or even a business associate has or had authorized access to a data or technology either electronically or physically and utilizes that access to cause harm either intentionally or inadvertently.

Learn more about this threat when the Office of Research and Economic Development at Mississippi State presents "Insider Threat: The Danger from Within" as part of its spring seminar series. The session will take place Wednesday [March 23] from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in the theater at Bost Extension Center.

Neil Lewis, the director of MSU's Office of Research Security, and FBI Special Agent Chris Hinkle will lead this presentation designed to give participants the tools they need to protect their companies and organizations from insider threats.
