State and School Employees' Health Plan has new pharmacy benefits manager

Human Resources Management at Mississippi State reminds current participants in the State and School Employees' Health Plan that effective Jan. 1, 2016, the plan's new pharmacy benefits manager will be Prime Therapeutics, LLC (Prime).

While Catamaran, the plan's current provider until Dec. 31) continues to work with the plan toward smooth transition, it will be important to review your welcome packet that will contain new ID card(s) for prescription coverage under Prime. The materials from Prime will be mailed to each participant's home address in December.

If you're currently receiving prescriptions through Catamaran's mail order system, you'll need to register through PrimeMail as soon as you receive your welcome packet in order to continue receiving medications by mail.

Benefits provided under the plan are not changing. However, employees should be aware of the new Pharmacy Benefits Manager, PrimeTherapeutics, LLC, and the welcome material that will arrive along with new ID cards during the month of December 2015.

The "Know Your Benefits" Website, knowyourbenefits.dfa.ms.gov, provides an announcement and FAQs for employees who are interested in learning more about Prime's prescription coverage. Questions may be forwarded to the State and School Employees' Health Plan, toll free at 866-586-2781.
