Defensive driving training sessions on campus Wednesday

The Office of Regulatory Compliance and Safety is offering the National Safety Council's defensive driving course at no charge to Mississippi State University employees, including student workers.

After participating in the one-day session delivered by MSU Safety Officer Alicia Musselwhite, attendees will receive a nationally-recognized certification from the National Safety Council. The NSC's certifications are accepted in more states than any other driver improvement or driver education program for insurance discounts.

The defensive driving course offers practical strategies to reduce collision-related injuries, fatalities and costs.

This session is limited to 15 participants and a minimum of seven attendees must be present to hold the class. Training sessions and locations are:

Wednesday, Nov. 9 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Room 119 at the Life Sciences and Biotechnology Institute (LSBI).

Monday, Dec. 12 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Room 119 at the Life Sciences & Biotechnology Institute (LSBI).
