Fulbright support available for U.S. post-doc scholar in Taiwan

The Fulbright Taiwan Postdoctoral Scholar in the Arts, Education, Humanities, Professional Fields and Social Sciences Award is currently seeking applications from American postdoctoral academics, professionals, artists, performers and writers interested in exploring new avenues for professional development and in specializing in Taiwan-related political, social and cultural developments.

Grants will support up to 10 months of postdoctoral research at a public or private academic institution in Taiwan.

More than 1,500 Taiwan scholars to the U.S. and 1,100 U.S. scholars to Taiwan have exchanged ideas and explored new research directions through Fulbright over the last 50 years.

Interested candidates must hold a doctorate degree conferred by the start of their grant and no earlier than Jan. 1, 2012 from an institution in the United States. Applications for the 2015-16 competition will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Jan. 15.
