IHL Board of Trustees to meet this week

The Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning will hold its regular monthly meeting on Thursday [Nov. 20] beginning at 9 a.m. Members of the board may participate in the meeting via teleconference. The board and public may attend the meeting in the Gold Room, Dr. Clinton Bristow Jr. Dining Hall, Alcorn State University, 1000 ASU Drive, in Lorman. An executive session may be held in accordance with the Open Meetings Act.

The Academic Affairs Committee, a standing committee of the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning chaired by Trustee Ford Dye, will meet immediately following the board meeting on Thursday in the Alcorn Room, University Library, Alcorn State University.

Concurrently, there will be a joint meeting of the Finance Committee, a standing committee chaired by Trustee Alan Perry, and the Real Estate Committee, a standing committee chaired by Trustee C.D. Smith, beginning immediately following the board meeting on Thursday in the Gold Room, Dr. Clinton Bristow Jr. Dining Facility, Alcorn State University. The committees will meet to discuss issues related to the successes, needs and opportunities in each area at Alcorn State University. Members of the board may participate in the committee meetings via teleconference. An executive session may be held in accordance with the Open Meetings Act.

The Health Affairs Committee, a standing committee of the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning chaired by Trustee Aubrey Patterson, will meet at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, [Nov. 19] to discuss projects and priorities including prospective real estate transactions and hospital records. Members of the board may participate in the committee meetings via teleconference. The public may attend the meeting in Rooms 7 & 8, James L. Bolden Campus Union Building, Alcorn State University. An executive session may be held in accordance with the Open Meetings Act.

The Academic Affairs Committee, a standing committee chaired by Trustee Ford Dye, will meet immediately following the Health Affairs Committee meeting on Wednesday to discuss system academic issues. Members of the board may participate in the committee meetings via teleconference. The public may attend the meeting in Rooms 7 & 8, James L. Bolden Campus Union Building, Alcorn State University. An executive session may be held in accordance with the Open Meetings Act.
