Martina McBride to take stage at MSU Riley Center

Martina McBride performs later this month at the MSU Riley Center.

Contemporary country music sensation Martina McBride is known for having one of the most spectacular voices in any genre of music. Now she will bring her soaring vocals and The Everlasting Tour to the MSU Riley Center in downtown Meridian on Aug. 28 at 7:30 p.m. A pre-show reception will take place at 6 p.m.

A Grammy Award winner, McBride is also a fourteen-time Grammy nominee who has been awarded fourteen Gold Records, nine Platinum honors, three Double Platinum Records, and two Triple Platinum awards. The CMA has named her its Female Vocalist of the Year four times, and the ACM has presented her with its Top Female honor on three occasions. To date, she has had twenty top ten hits and six number one smashes, achieving such astounding success by singing lyrics of substance and songs that challenge listeners.

A member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1995, McBride’s music deftly mixes traditional country music sensibilities with contemporary musical styling while always featuring her amazing voice as the centerpiece. Her latest album Everlasting debuted at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart in April 2014.
