Life in Iraq symposium Thursday afternoon

This summer, Mississippi State University’s Office of Student Leadership and Community Engagement and the International Institute are hosting 24 young leaders from Iraq. While at Mississippi State, these undergraduate students are learning about American communities, democracy and food systems.

As part of this cultural exchange, Iraqi students will be educating the MSU community about life in Iraq. During five presentations, students will cover range historical and contemporary topics in Iraq, including: history and civilization, traditions and cultural norms, religion, Kurdistan and ethnic groups, and politics. The presentations will be followed by a question and answer session.

All are invited to attend this international cultural symposium on Thursday [July 24] from 2-4 p.m. in 407c Moseley Hall, which is the campus residence hall behind McComas Hall.
