Defensive driving courses coming up in April

Environmental Health and Safety at Mississippi State is offering the National Safety Council's defensive driving course at no charge to university employees, including student workers.

After participating in the one-day session delivered by Glynn Babb, the loss control and fire safety officer for Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning, attendees will receive a nationally recognized certification from the NSC, which are accepted in more states than any other driver improvement or driver education program for insurance discounts.

The course offers practical strategies to reduce collision-related injuries, fatalities, and costs.

This session is limited to 15 participants and a minimum of seven attendees must be present to hold the class. Sessions and locations are:

-- Wednesday, April 16, 1-5 p.m., Room 119 at the Institute for Genomics, Biocomputing and Biotechnology, Pace Seed Building

-- Thursday, April 17, 8 a.m.-noon, Room 119, Institute for Genomics, Biocomputing and Biotechnology, Pace Seed Building
